Commission Minutes--November 3, 2003 2665 REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS NOVEMBER 3, 2003 1. MEETING TO ORDER Chairman Scott Wagner called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as follows: John Meyer, Robyn Sorum, Darrell Vanyo, Vern Bennett and Scott Wagner. 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE The chairman asked Mike Montplaisir to lead the Pledge of Allegiance at this time. 3. MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting held October 20, 2003, be approved as written. Motion carried. 4. AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to approve the order of the agenda with the following additions: 1) raffle permit for the Chaffee Lions Club; and 2) Highway Department quit claim deed on abandoned right of way. Motion carried. 5. QUIT CLAIM DEED, Authorize chairman and auditor to sian MOTION, passed Mr. Bennett moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to authorize the chairman and the county auditor to sign a quit claim deed to Mark and Anne Perry for property located in Tower City, North Dakota. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 6. OMITTED ASSESSMENT, Approved MOTION, passed Mr. Bennett moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to add a 5.9 acre tract in Auditor's Lot 1 of NW Y4, 36-140-52, as omitted property for 2003 in the amount of $83,800 residential structures assessed for 5 months, according to notice sent from the county auditor to Jayme and Katrina Steig, Casselton, North Dakota. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 7. PERMIT FOR RAFFLE, Approved for Chaffee Lions Club MOTION, passed Mr. Bennett moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to approve a raffle permit for the Chaffee Lions Club to be held December 1, 2003, at the Embden Cenex in Embden, North Dakota. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.
