VOUCHERS, Approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Vanyo moved and Mrs. Sorum seconde~ to approve Voucher No. <br />181,255 through No. 181,898. COUNTY COORDINATOR REPORT; JAIL UPDATEI; NDACO CONVENTION; MEETINGS <br />UPDATE, Committee reports i <br />Bonnie Johnson, County Coordinator, said October iS~' Risk Management Month, and she is <br />collecting safety surveys from county departments an has arranged for a risk management <br />seminar on substance abuse that employees will atte . d next week. <br /> <br />Mrs. Johnson said the City of Fargo may be intereste' in using some materials from the old <br />jail or sheriff's residence for an outdoor artistic piece t ey are planning on Main Avenue at <br />Broadway. Mr. Wagner said the commission talked a out incorporating some of the more <br />significant elements on the courthouse campus for ad ptive reuse, and Mrs. Johnson said <br />she would consult with the county commission for ad. cis ion on any specific items the City <br />of Fargo is interested in using for this purpose. . <br /> <br />Mrs. Sorum reported on a meeting she and Mrs. JOhn~On had today with members of the <br />Sheriff's Department, those being Sheriff Don Rudnic ,Jail Administrator Glenn Ellingsberg <br />and Carlos Perez regarding jail operations. She said he meeting addressed inmate <br />vandalism and communication concerns. Mr. Ellingsb~rg will report to the full board at a <br />future meeting. <br /> <br />Mr. Montplaisir was elected President of the North Da~ota Association of Counties at their <br />annual meeting in Bismarck on October 5-7th. Also, qhairman Scott Wagner was appointed <br />to the North Dakota County Commissioners Associatiqn nine-member board. <br /> <br />Mr. Vanyo attended a Fargo Moorhead Metropolitan Cpuncil of Governments meeting last <br />week and filed a report entitled, "Red River Public Saf~ty Facility Inventory" for review by <br />other commissioners <br /> <br />16.
