PARKING LOT PURCHASE ORDERS, Farao Park pistrict shared parkina lot <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Bennett seconde' to authorize the chairman to <br />sign purchase orders for lighting with Mag um Electric in the amount of <br />$9,860.00 and for landscaping with Baker N rsery Gardens in the amount <br />of $7,127.05 for the joint parking lot with th Fargo Park District west of <br />the Cass County Annex. On roll call vote, t e motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />12. TAX-FORFEITED PROPERTY, A raisal/hearin te set <br />Michael Montplaisir, County Auditor, provided a list 0 I real estate forfeited to Cass County <br />for delinquent taxes, pursuant to North Dakota centui. Code Chapter 57-28. Alternative <br />values on the properties were provided today by Fran Klein, County Director of Tax <br />Equalization. A hearing on the appraisal is schedule. for November 3rd at 3:30 PM. <br /> <br />The auditor and Birch Burdick, State's Attorney, reco~mend selling an owner-occupied <br />residential property in Casselton back to the former o'tners on a Contract for Deed, as <br />allowed in North Dakota Century Code 57-28-19. Mr.IBurdick was represented at today's <br />meeting by Assistant State's Attorney Aaron Birst. <br /> <br />Mr. Montplaisir said there is an apartment building in Wargo, which he expects will be <br />redeemed; someone deposited junk on county-ownedtots in Meadow Brook Park that <br />should be removed; a lot in Kindred has a condemne house on it that will be destroyed by <br />the City of Kindred in the next month; and a suggestio was made that the house on a tax- <br />forfeited lot in the City of Leonard be demolished before the property can be sold. <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Vanyo seconde4 to authorize the county <br />auditor and the state's attorney to offer a Cqntract for Deed to the former <br />owners of 201 8th Avenue South, Casselton~ North Dakota, with a term of <br />48 months at 4% interest; to set the minimu~ sales price on tax-forfeited <br />property as recommended by the Director of Equalization; to authorize <br />the use of contingency funds to pay for the~ounty highway department <br />to clean up debris on county-owned lots in he Meadow Brook Park area; <br />and further, to stipulate that the property in he City of Leonard not be <br />sold until the house is removed. On roll cal vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />13. PARKING LOT AGREEMENT, Far 0 Park District I nd west of Annex <br />Mr. Montplaisir said a new parking lot is being constru ted west of the Cass County Annex <br />and south of the Fargo Park District's Robert D. Johnspn Building at 1104 2nd Avenue <br />South, Fargo. Under a proposed agreement, the Fargp Park District is donating the land, <br />and Cass County Government will pay for the construqtion of improvements. The Park <br />District and Cass County will each have 12 parking sp~ces, and any other available parking <br />in this lot may be used by the general public. <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Vanyo moved and Mr. Bennett secondedl to authorize the chairman to <br />sign the parking lot agreement at 11th Stree~ and 3rd Avenue South with <br />the Fargo Park District. On roll call vote, the! motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />
