<br />Commission Minutes-July 17, 2006 3087 <br /> <br />11. VOUCHERS, Approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Pawluk moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to approve Voucher No. <br />208,431 through Voucher No. 209,398. On roll call vote, the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />12. CASS/CLAY JOINT MEETING; NDACO SAFETY REPORTING; AUGUST 7TH MEETING; <br />COUNTY COMMISSION ASSOCIATION DUES, Committee reports <br />Mrs. Johnson said a joint meeting between Cass and Clay County needs to be scheduled <br />and suggested the meeting be held in September. Commissioners prefer to meet on <br />September 5th. She will contact Clay County to see if the date works for their board. <br /> <br />Mrs. Johnson received an email from the North Dakota Association of Counties (NDACo) <br />regarding a special program to monitor accident and safety reporting. The association <br />requested a commissioner from each county be designated to perform this duty. She said <br />that as the county's risk manager, she already oversees safety inspections and ensures the <br />county is in compliance with all regulations. The board agreed that the county coordinator <br />complete this reporting. Mr. Pawluk suggested a letter be drafted from the chairman to the <br />NDACo to explain the county's risk management program. <br /> <br />Mrs. Johnson said Cindy Stoick, Principal Secretary, has completed her training by <br />attending several commission meetings and will take board minutes at the next meeting to <br />be held August 7th. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner said dues may be raised for the North Dakota County Commissioners <br />Association. He said the dues collected help lobbying efforts during legislative sessions. <br /> <br />13. CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to receive and file <br />correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: Motion carried. <br />- information on a permit for the West Fargo Inert Landfill for an inert waste landfill located <br />in the NE % of Section 2, Township 139N, Range 50W in Cass County (copy referred to <br />Mike Zimney, County Planner); <br />public notice and draft permit for a transfer station located in West Fargo, North Dakota <br />(copy referred to Mike Zimney, County Planner); <br />report from the United States Department of Agriculture on inspection of a drain in the <br />Rush River Water Resource District. <br /> <br />14.
