<br />Commission Minutes-July 17, 2006 3084 <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />JULY 17, 2006 <br /> <br />1. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER <br />Chairman Vern Bennett called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as <br />follows: Scott Wagner, Vern Bennett, Ken Pawluk, Darrell Vanyo and Robyn Sorum. <br /> <br />2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />Scott Wagner led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />3. MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Pawluk seconded that the minutes of the <br />previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. AGENDA, Order approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Vanyo moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to approve the order of the <br />agenda. Motion carried. <br /> <br />5. CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Pawluk moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to approve the consent <br />agenda as follows: On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />a. Approve raffle permits for Nora Lutheran Church to be held October 7, <br />2006, at Nora Lutheran Church in Gardner, North Dakota; and for St. <br />Benedict's Catholic Church to be held September 17, 2006, at St. <br />Benedict's Catholic Church in Horace, North Dakota. <br />b. Approve bingo permit for Cass County Historical Society to be held <br />August 19 and 20, 2006, at Bonanzaville, U.S.A. in West Fargo, North <br />Dakota. <br />c. Ratify Personnel Overview Committee action of July 17, 2006, to adjust <br />the county's salary scale upward by 2.1 % based on the salary study <br />conducted by Fox Lawson & Associates. <br />d. Receive monthly financial statement from the Auditor's Office for the <br />month ended June 30, 2006. <br />e. Authorize chairman to sign a purchase order for purchase of one 2007 <br />AWD Chevrolet Express Passenger Van from Gateway Chevrolet in the <br />amount of $23,375.00 for use by the Cass County Jail. <br />f. Approve a special event permit for The Holiday Inn to serve alcoholic <br />beverages for a wedding reception on August 26, 2006, at a farm in <br />Stanley Township located at 9203 25th Street South, Fargo, North <br />Dakota. <br />g. Contract approval: <br />Ransom County, Traill County, Barnes County, Sargent County, <br />Richland County, Roberts County, and City of West Fargo- <br />juvenile detention daily rate/fees. <br />
