<br />RESOLUTION #2006-2 <br />LOCAL FUNDING COMMITMENT FOR <br />PRE-DISASTER MITIGATION GRANT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Cass County, North Dakota, has experienced property <br />damage (both public and private) from river and rainfall-induced flooding; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Federal resources are available to address the short <br />and long-term flood relief and mitigation needs of this community; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Non-federal funds are required to match the federal <br />funds directed to flood relief and mitigation efforts. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Cass County, North Dakota, will apply for the grant and <br />the landowner will pay their share of the non-federal costs to meet the <br />federal funding requirements for flood mitigation projects. <br /> <br />Dated at Fargo, North Dakota, this 6th day of March, 2006. <br /> <br />Vern Bennett, Chairman <br />Cass County Board of Commissioners <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Michael Montplaisir, Auditor <br />Cass County, North Dakota <br /> <br />, I <br />'J <br /> <br />M:\MINUTES\Comm2006\#2006-2 HAZARD MITIGATION GRANT.doc <br />
