.

Fire Chef Challenge Picnic

Cass County Social Services is challenging the four Fargo fire stations to a picnic cook-off for
our local foster families. Just as the fire department rescues people, foster families rescue
children from unsafe situations. The rumors are that firemen make great cooks and we would
like you to put your skills to the test while helping foster fami lies.

What we need is one main dish, one salad and one desert from each participating fire station.
Each fire station chooses its own theme and ingredients for the three dishes.
Foster parents will vote for the top Fire Chefs on a) taste, b) appearance, c) originality. The
winning Fire Station will receive a "bragging rights" trophy and their picture in the local paper
for helping foster families.

Cass County Social Service will supply each participating station with $ 75.00 to use towards
purchasing the food that station prepares. A participating station can also solicit additional
outside contributions to assist them in meeting this challenge. There is no limit to the amount of
outside contributions a station can use to meet this challenge.

It is estimated that we will have 200 people at the picnic with 60-70 of those being children.
Food may be prepared in advance but needs to be delivered by the Fire Chefs to the picnic by
6:00pm on Thursday, June 22, 2006. The use of fire trucks/rescue vehicles to deliver the food
would add some excitement to our picnic for the children.

Will your fire station accept the challenge and help fire-up our foster
families with your culinary masterpieces?

Who will be the best FIRE CHEFS of 2006???
