<br />Commission Minutes-June 5, 2006 3078 <br /> <br />10. HOMELAND SECURITY FUNDING; GRANT APPLICATION FOR MOLLER PROPERTY; <br />COURTHOUSE FLOORING PROJECT; COURTHOUSE CENTENNIAL BIRTHDAY; <br />MEETING UPDATES; JULY 3RD COMMISSION MEETING, Committee reports <br />Mrs. Johnson updated the board on the Homeland Security appropriation awarded to Cass <br />County. <br /> <br />Mrs. Johnson briefly discussed the landslide acquisition pre-disaster mitigation application <br />for the Moller property in Highland Park and said the grant was denied. <br /> <br />Mrs. Johnson provided an update on the courthouse flooring project and said corrective <br />work will be completed this week to prepare for installation of the new wood floors. <br /> <br />Mrs. Johnson said the existing courthouse was dedicated on July 31, 1906 and will <br />celebrate 100 years of service on July 31 st. She suggested a centennial party be held <br />before the July 1 ih commission meeting with a ribbon cutting to be coordinated with the <br />Fargo Moorhead Chamber of Commerce. <br /> <br />Mr. Bennett suggested that due to the extended Fourth of July holiday weekend, the July 3rd <br />commission meeting be cancelled. Commissioners were in agreement to cancel the <br />meeting and to inform county department heads and the media of the decision. <br /> <br />Commissioners and staff reported on meetings they have attended in the past two weeks, <br />as well as upcoming meetings. <br /> <br />11.
