<br />Commission Minutes-June 5, 2006 3073 <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />JUNE 5, 2006 <br /> <br />1. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER <br />Chairman Vern Bennett called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as <br />follows: Scott Wagner, Vern Bennett, Ken Pawluk, and Robyn Sorum. Darrell Vanyo was <br />absent. <br /> <br />2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />Michael Montplaisir led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />3. MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Pawluk seconded that the minutes of the <br />previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. AGENDA, Order approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Pawluk moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to approve the order of the <br />agenda with the following additions to the consent agenda: 1) grant a <br />site authorization permit to Christine Volunteer Firefighters at the <br />Knickerbocker Liquor Locker; and 2) amend Commission Policy Manual <br />Section 4.00 and appoint Diane Moderow to Board of Health. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />5. CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to approve the consent <br />agenda as follows: On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />a. Approve raffle permit for the Red River Valley Fair Association to be <br />held June 24, 2006, at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds, West Fargo, <br />North Dakota. <br />b. Establish an absentee ballot precinct and absentee ballot counting <br />board to open at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, June 13, 2006. <br />c. Approve a special event permit for The Barnstormer Restaurant to <br />serve alcoholic beverages for a business function held by Blue Cross <br />Blue Shield of North Dakota on June 14, 2006, at Bonanzaville, U.S.A. <br />in West Fargo, North Dakota. <br />d. Contract approval: <br />Services agreement with Kathy Ziegelmann-to provide the new child <br />support enforcement director with assistance; <br />Fargo Civic Auditorium-lease agreement to hold election training at <br />the facility; <br />Edward and Lavahna Ferguson-encroachment agreement to allow the <br />use of a portion of a county-owned lot to install a fence; <br />Swingen Construction Company-resolution for Highway 12 bridge <br />project north of Alice; <br />Mark Sand & Gravel-resolutions for Highway 14 surfacing from <br />Horace east to 1-29 and for Highway 81 overlay north to Highway 46. <br />
