<br />Commission Minutes--September 29, 2003 2655 <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />SEPTEMBER 29, 2003 <br /> <br />1. MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman Scott Wagner called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with four members present <br />as follows: Robyn Sorum, Darrell Vanyo, Vern Bennett and Scott Wagner. John Meyer was <br />absent. <br /> <br />2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />The chairman asked Robyn Sorum to lead the Pledge of Allegiance at this time. <br /> <br />3. MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Vanyo moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded that the minutes of the last <br />regular meeting held September 15, 2003 be approved as written and that <br />the minutes of the September 19, 2003 budget meeting be approved with <br />a correction to the second motion in paragraph 2 as follows: to transfer <br />the funds to pay for a new jail commissary clerk from the revenues and <br />to assign jail security duties to an A12 clerical position. Motion carried. <br />Birch Burdick, State's Attorney, asked that the minutes reflect there are <br />eight assistant state's attorneys and eleven support staff in the State's <br />Attorney's Office at the present time, rather than the numbers stated at <br />the September 19th budget meeting. <br /> <br />4. AGENDA, Order approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Bennett moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to approve the order of the <br />agenda with the following additions to the consent agenda: 1) contracts <br />with Paras Contracting and with Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota; <br />2) appoint delegates to the North Dakota State Fair annual meeting. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />5. PERMIT FOR BINGO, Approved for Kindred FFA Chapter <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Vanyo moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to approve a bingo permit <br />for the Kindred FFA Chapter to be held during sporting events on <br />September 22, 2003 through March 11, 2004 at the Kindred High School. <br />On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />6. PERMIT FOR RAFFLE, Approved for Red River Sno-Riders <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Vanyo moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to approve a raffle permit <br />for the Red River Sno-Riders to be held December 6, 2003 and January 4, <br />2004 at the Wild Rice Bar & Grill in Wild Rice, North Dakota. On roll call <br />vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />7. LOST INSTRUMENT BONDS, Received and filed for Washinaton Mutual: Rav Bauske <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Vanyo moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to receive and file Indemnity <br />Bonds on Lost Instrument for Washington Mutual and for Ray Bauske, <br />
