<br />Commission Minutes-April 17, 2006 3058 <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />APRIL 17, 2006 <br /> <br />1. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER <br />Chairman Vern Bennett called the meeting to order at 3:40 PM with all members present as <br />follows: Scott Wagner, Vern Bennett, Ken Pawluk, Darrell Vanyo and Robyn Sorum. <br /> <br />2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />Robyn Sorum led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />3. MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded that the minutes of the <br />previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. AGENDA, Order approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Pawluk seconded to approve the order of the <br />agenda with the following additions: 1) authorize Glenn Ellingsberg from <br />the Sheriff's Office to apply for FY2006 Bulletproof Vest Partnership <br />Program grant funds; and 2) authorize the county to participate <br />financially in repairing the storm sewer line at the Cass County Jail. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />5. CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Pawluk moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to approve the consent <br />agenda as follows: On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />a. Approve the recommendation from the emergency manager to reallocate <br />up to $15,000 from the 2005 Homeland Security equipment grant fund from <br />the interoperable radio project to purchase a generator for use by rural <br />communities in Cass County. <br />b. Receive and file Indemnity Bond for Lost Instrument to Gaukler Ryan <br />Partnership and to authorize the county auditor and county treasurer to <br />issue a duplicate check. <br />c. Receive monthly financial statement from the Auditor's Office for the month <br />ended March 31,2006. <br />d. Approve a special event permit to Hooligans of West Fargo for a concert <br />benefiting the EI Zagal and Shrine Hospitals to be held at the Red River <br />Valley Fairgrounds on May 20, 2006, from 5:30 PM to 1 :30 AM. <br />e. Approve an expenditure budget adjustment of $60,000 for the Sheriff's <br />Department to upgrade the law enforcement mobile computer system, with <br />Dataradio being the primary vendor; and approve a revenue budget <br />adjustment of $48,000 to reflect the amount billed to other jurisdictions for <br />this project. <br />
