<br />Commission Minutes-March 20, 2006 3045 <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />MARCH 20, 2006 <br /> <br />1. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER <br />Chairman Vern Bennett called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as <br />follows: Scott Wagner, Vern Bennett, Ken Pawluk, Darrell Vanyo and Robyn Sorum. <br /> <br />2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />Scott Wagner led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />3. MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded that the minutes of the <br />previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. AGENDA, Order approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Vanyo moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to approve the order of the <br />agenda with the following additions: 1) contract and purchase order with <br />Nextel Communications for mobile phones and service for the vector <br />control program; 2) contract with Newman Outdoor Advertising for <br />donation of space and layout of billboard for Cass County Youth <br />Commission event. Motion carried. <br /> <br />5. CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Pawluk moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to approve the consent <br />agenda as follows: On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />a. Adopt Resolution #2006-3 implementing spring load restrictions on county <br />highways, as follows: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION # 2006-3 <br />TO IMPLEMENT SPRING LOAD RESTRICTIONS <br />ON COUNTY HIGHWAYS <br /> <br />WHEREAS: <br /> <br />Soft base conditions experienced during spring thaw reduce the <br />load carrying capacity of County Highways. <br /> <br />WHEREAS: <br /> <br />The Cass County Board of Commissioners desires to prevent <br />serious damage to County Highways. <br /> <br />WHEREAS: <br /> <br />39-12-03 of the North Dakota Century Code authorizes local <br />authorities to impose vehicle weight restrictions on County <br />Highways. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE: Be it resolved by the Cass County Board of Commissioners <br />that spring load restrictions will be imposed upon Cass County Highways in the <br />following manner: <br />
