ABATEMENT APPLICATION, Aooroved for Gary Griffeth <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Meyer seconded that Abatement #4140 for <br />Gary Griffeth be reduced to $6,000 for the commercial structure, as <br />recommended by the Director of Equalization. On roll call vote, <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />9. WEED CONTROL, Budget adiustment <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to authorize a Weed <br />Control budget adjustment from $215,384 to $235,000 in accordance <br />with a memorandum from Keith Berndt, County Engineer, dated <br />December 6, 1999. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />10. PRAIRIE PUBLIC BROADCASTING, Letter of support for grant application <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to provide a letter of <br />support to Prairie Public Broadcasting indicating compliance with <br />Cass County's Comprehensive Land Use Plan, which will be <br />submitted with their grant application for television demonstration <br />grants. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />11. SOCIAL SERVICES, Annual leave extension for two homemakers <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to approve annual leave <br />extension requests for Nancy Berndt and Bonnie Branvold according <br />to Cass County Personnel Policy Section 6.00 and a memorandum <br />from Social Services Director, Kathy Hogan, dated December 10, 1999. <br />On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />12. EXTENSION SERVICES, Budget adiustment for Character Counts and 4-H Program <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to approve budget <br />adjustments of Extension Service line items as specified in a <br />memorandum from Brad Cogdill, Extension Agent/Chair, dated <br />December 1 0, 1999, relating to the Character Counts and 4-H Program. <br />On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />13. ROAD DEPARTMENT, Transoortation ImDrovement Projects approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to approve the 2001- <br />2003 Metropolitan Council of Governments transportation <br />improvement projects, according to memorandum from Keith Berndt, <br />County Engineer, dated December 10,1999. On roll call vote, motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />14.
