Commission Minutes--September 7, 1999 2040 19. MEETING UPDATE; CHILD SUPPORT ENFORCEMENT; EAST CENTRAL COMMISSIONERS MEETING; NORTH DAKOTA ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIESI COMMISSIONERS CONVENTION, Committee reports Commissioners and staff reported on meetings they have attended in the past two weeks, as well as upcoming meetings. Bonnie Johnson reported on an article in the September, 1999, issue of Governing magazine regarding penalties for missing the federal deadline for developing a state-wide computer system for child support enforcement. The article indicates that the State of North Dakota is among eight other states that have not received the necessary federal certification. Commissioners were reminded of the East Central Commissioners Association meeting on Monday, September 13, 1999, beginning at 9:30 AM at the Expressway Inn, Fargo, ND. Resolutions should be sent to the North Dakota Association of Counties as soon as possible for the annual convention to be held October 3-5, 1999, at the International Inn, Minot, ND. 20. CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to receive and file correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: Motion carried. change in hearing date to September 29, 1999, at 8:00 PM in Page, ND for the creation of an irrigation district in Barnes, Cass and Steele Counties; correspondence from North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) for assistance in updating Cass County's general highway map, information on County Road Advisors' Conference in Rapid City, SD on October 20 and 21, 1999, and letter concerning removal of closed bridges from NDDOT inventory system. 21. ADJOURNMENT MOTION, passed On motion by Mr. Wieland and seconded by Mrs. Schneider, the meeting was adjourned at 5:50 PM.
