<br />Commission Minutes--August 2, 1999 2009 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AUGUST 2, 1999 <br />CASSEL TON CITY HALL, CASSEL TON, ND <br /> <br />1. MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairperson Robbie Quick called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM at the Casselton City Hall, <br />Casselton, North Dakota, with all members present as follows: Paul Koenig, John Meyer, Alon <br />Wieland, Donna Schneider and Robbie Quick. <br /> <br />2. MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Koenig seconded that the minutes of the <br />previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />3. AGENDA, Order approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to approve the <br />order of the agenda with the following additions to the consent <br />agenda: 1) contract with the City of Casselton for police services; and <br />2) resolution of condolence to Ruth Swain, Social Service employee, <br />in the tragic loss of her daughter. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT, Commendation letter to Yvonne Bergeson <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to authorize the chair to <br />sign a letter of commendation to Yvonne Bergeson on her retirement <br />after 22 years of service to Cass County in the Sheriff's Department. <br />On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. Mrs. Bergeson was <br />present to receive the letter and a plaque in honor of her retirement. <br /> <br />5. PERMIT FOR RAFFLE, St. Maurice's Catholic Church <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve raffle permit <br />for St. Maurice's Catholic Church to be held November 13, 1999, at <br />their church located in Kindred, North Dakota. On roll call vote, <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />6. RESOLUTION #1999-12, Nomination for Excellence in County Government Award <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve the following <br />Resolution #1999-12 for nomination for the Excellence in County <br />Government Award to Kathy Hogan, Social Service Director, in the <br />appointed county official category: On roll call vote, motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />
