<br />Commission Minutes--June 7, 1999 1991 <br /> <br />Mr. Burdick asked at the last meeting, and inquired again today, if all of the respective parties <br />have had a meeting to discuss moving the home. Mr. Hagemeister said the people owning the <br />right-of-way will not give him permission to move the home out of the subdivision. Mr. Burdick <br />said he does not believe it is appropriate to say they will not allow it. He said Mr. Hagemeister <br />needs to provide a detailed plan for accomplishing this task, and that has not been done. <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to extend the time frame <br />for Mr. Hagemeister to remove the former Scherling house from its <br />location in Stanley Township by June 30, 1999, and if informed at the <br />end of that time that it is not possible to move the home, the county <br />would rescind the agreement and refund the purchase price of <br />$21,000 to Mr. Hagemeister and re-bid the project with a 60-day time <br />frame for removing the salvage. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />18. VOUCHERS, Approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Koenig moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve Voucher No. <br />128,679 through No. 129,086. On roll call vote, motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />19. MEETING UPDATES; BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS; DEVIL'S LAKE; FUTURE COMMISSION <br />MEETING AT CASSEL TON; GFOA MEETING; CEMETERY UPDATE, Committee reports <br />Commissioners reported on meetings attended in the past three weeks, as well as upcoming <br />meetings. <br /> <br />Bonnie Johnson, County Coordinator, reported a Northern States Power Company safety check <br />in the Cass County Annex Building revealed 8-10 natural gas leaks in the pipe fittings, and the <br />matter is being resolved with minor inconveniences but no danger to building occupants. <br /> <br />It was noted that Jim McLaughlin, representing water resources, will address the Board at the <br />next meeting regarding Devil's Lake flooding. Mr. Wieland is encouraging fellow commissioners <br />to become more informed about the seriousness of that situation and will discuss allocating <br />travel funds for that purpose at the next meeting. <br /> <br />Mrs. Schneider suggested holding a future County Commission meeting at Casselton City Hall <br />sometime this summer, as done in some previous years. The other Commissioners were in <br />agreement. <br /> <br />Michael Montplaisir, County Auditor, reported on the Government Finance Officers Association <br />(GFOA) annual meeting, which he recently attended in Nashville, Tennessee. He said all of the <br />reporting rules for governments are changing, which will require a lot of work from his office and <br />others in the Courthouse over the next couple of years. <br /> <br />Mrs. Quick reported that she and Commissioner Wieland, Bonnie Johnson, Mike Montplaisir, <br />representatives ofthe Fargo Park District and the Fargo School District met last week to discuss <br />the situation concerning three cemeteries at Trollwood Park in north Fargo. Unfortunately, a <br />1986 agreement was not fulfilled where Cass County agreed to survey the cemeteries and the <br />Fargo Park District agreed to install the appropriate signs. The three entities are now working <br />
