<br />Commission Minutes--May 17, 1999 1983 <br /> <br />23. MEETING UPDATES; PERSONNEL AND MAINTENANCE UPDATE; BREWER LAKE CLEAN- <br />UP; FLOOD MASTER PLAN COMMITTEE, Committee reports <br />Commissioners reported on meetings attended in the past two weeks, as well as upcoming <br />meetings. <br /> <br />Bonnie Johnson said the North Dakota Supreme Court invited her to Bismarck on June 10th to <br />talk about Cass County's personnel classification system and how well it works here, with all <br />related expenses being paid by them, except for her time. <br /> <br />Inmates in the county jail did a significant amount of damage last Thursday, and Mrs. Johnson <br />is in the process of obtaining estimates for the necessary repairs. <br /> <br />Mr. Meyer reported that the Boy Scouts of America held a spring camp-out at Brewer Lake this <br />past weekend, and they are to be commended for the service project they performed at the <br />campground. <br /> <br />Mrs. Quick said the Flood Master Plan Committee received the Cass County Flood Mitigation <br />Study draft report at their last meeting from the consultant, Moore Engineering, after many <br />months of study. She asked the members to review the report prior to their next meeting, which <br />will be about one month from now. <br /> <br />24. CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Koenig moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to receive and file <br />correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: Motion carried. <br /> <br />letter from 'Citizens for Responsible Flood Control' requesting consideration for <br />appointment of a member of their group to the Cass County Flood Master Plan <br />Committee; <br />notice to affected property owner from Alan J. Sheppard, 921 2nd Avenue South, Fargo, <br />that he plans to erect a storage/garage on his property near the Courthouse; <br />response from Kadrmas Lee & Jackson, Consulting Engineers and Surveyors, to Cass <br />County's recommendations and concerns about the proposed Kindred-Davenport <br />Regional Airport improvements (referred to County Engineer and County Planner). <br /> <br />25.
