CONTRACT APPROVAL, Office of Intergovernmental Assistance: Fargo Cass Public <br />Health: North Dakota Department of Transportation: Excavating. Inc. and North Dakota <br />Department of Transportation: North Dakota Division of Emergency Management: Region <br />V Children's Services Coordinating Committee <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Koenig moved and Mrs. Quick seconded to approve the following <br />contracts submitted by respective department head and portfolio <br />commissioner, subject to state's attorney approval; and authorize the <br />chair to sign. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Office of Intergovernmental Assistance for Head Start building; <br />Fargo Cass Public Health and Cass County Social Services for in-home services to <br />eligible recipients; <br />North Dakota Department of Transportation for Cass County 17 small scale safety <br />improvement project; <br />North Dakota Department of Transportation and Excavating Inc. for the County Highway <br />10 bridge northwest of Mapleton; <br />North Dakota Division of Emergency Management 1999 cooperative agreement; <br />Region V Children's Services Coordinating Committee Foster Care Recruitment Grant. <br /> <br />11. PLAT APPROVAL, Sprin9vale Cemetery <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Koenig moved and Mrs. Quick seconded to authorize the <br />chairperson to sign the Second Replat of Part of Springvale Cemetery, <br />as requested by the county auditor. On roll call vote, motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />12. RESOLUTION #1998-19, Condolences to family of the late Joe Dill <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Koenig moved and Mrs. Quick seconded to adopt Resolution <br />#1998-19 as follows: On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Cass County Commissioners has learned of the death of Mr. <br />Joe Dill of Fargo, North Dakota; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Joe Dill served as editor of The Forum, the County's official newspaper, for <br />over 17 years. He has always recognized the importance of local government and had <br />his staff cover Cass County issues and events on a routine basis. Mr. Dill's leadership <br />and compassion for journalistic fairness is recognized by the Board of Commissioners. <br /> <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the Cass County Board of Commissioners does <br />hereby express its heartfelt condolences to the family of the late Joe Dill. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this resolution be inscribed upon the permanent <br />records ofthe proceedings of the Board of County Commissioners and a copy forwarded <br />to his family. <br /> <br />Dated at Fargo, North Dakota, this 7th day of December, 1998. <br />
