<br />Commission Minutes--December 7, 1998 1901 <br /> <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Koenig moved and Mrs. Quick seconded to authorize the <br />chairperson and the county auditor to sign three county deeds to the <br />City of Page for tax-forfeited property purchased from Cass County. <br />On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />6. SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LOTS, Auditor to offer unsold properties to cities <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Koenig moved and Mrs. Quick seconded to authorize the county <br />auditor to offer to the city in which the property is located any unsold <br />properties from the annual tax sale for $1.00 per property plus <br />recording fee of $10.00, and with the stipulation that the county will <br />cancel all taxes and the city will cancel all special assessments <br />against the property, according to a letter from the county auditor <br />dated November 17, 1998. On roll call vote, motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />7. ABATEMENT, William P. Schmitt <br />MOTION, passed <br />According to recommendation of Francis Klein, Director of Tax <br />Equalization, Mr. Koenig moved and Mrs. Quick seconded that <br />Abatement #4081 be denied, as the 1997 assessment has already <br />been reduced by an appropriate amount. On roll call vote, motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />8. ASSESSMENT OF OMITTED PROPERTIES, Approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Koenig moved and Mrs. Quick seconded to add part of the W% of <br />the NW 1/4 of 25-141-53 of Empire Township for the year 1998 in the <br />amount of $34,000 residential structure, according to notice from the <br />county auditor to Russell Strand, Amenia, ND. On roll call vote, <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Koenig moved and Mrs. Quick seconded to add part of the S% of <br />the N% of 31-141-55 of Cornell Township for the year 1998 in the <br />amount of $6,000 residential structure, according to notice from the <br />county auditor to Floyd & Kathleen Preston, Tower City, ND. On roll <br />call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Koenig moved and Mrs. Quick seconded to add part of the SE 1/4 <br />of 14-142-55 of Lake Township for the year 1998 in the amount of <br />$40,000 residential structure, according to notice from the county <br />auditor to Brad & Debra Davis, Page, ND. On roll call vote, motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />
