Commission Minutes--August 17, 1998 1851 DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS AUGUST 17, 1998 1. MEETING TO ORDER Chairperson Donna Schneider called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with four members present as follows: Robbie Quick, Paul Koenig, Alon Wieland and Donna Schneider. John Meyer was absent. 2. MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Koenig seconded that the minutes of the last regular meeting held August 3, 1998, and the minutes of the special meeting held August 6, 1998, be approved as written. Motion carried. 3. AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed Mrs. Quick moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to approve the order of the agenda with the following additions to the consent agenda: 1) special event permit for the Holiday Inn; and 2) raffle permit for Pheasants Forever. Motion carried. 4. PERSONNEL OVERVIEW COMMITTEE, Ratify actions of August 3. 1998 MOTION, passed Mr. Koenig moved and Mrs. Quick seconded to ratify Personnel Overview Committee actions of August 3, 1998, by amending Personnel Policies 3.10, 4.00, 4.20,4.40, 6.02, 6.03, and 7.40. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. 5. LOST INSTRUMENT BOND, Received and filed for Cynthia Herfindahl MOTION, passed Mr. Koenig moved and Mrs. Quick seconded to receive and file Indemnity Bond on Lost Instrument for Cynthia Herfindahl; and authorize the county treasurer and the county auditor to issue a duplicate check. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. 6. INSURANCE LITIGATION, Blue Cross Blue Shield tobacco suit MOTION, passed Mr. Koenig moved and Mrs. Quick seconded to participate in the tobacco litigation Class Action through Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota, and notify Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota in writing prior to August 24, 1998. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously.
