<br />Commission Minutes-May 18,1998 1812 <br /> <br />14. VOUCHERS, Approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to approve vouchers No. <br />114,851 through No. 115,474. On roll call vote, motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />15. MEETING UPDATES; COUNTY ROAD CONDITIONS; TAX INCENTIVE POLICY REVIEW, <br />Committee reports <br />Mr. Koenig reported that he and Mr. Meyer attended a meeting this afternoon with Fargo Cass <br />County Economic Development officials. Commissioners Quick, Wieland and Meyer attended <br />the Fargo Senior Commission recognition banquet last week. Mrs. Quick will be attending a <br />regional child support task force meeting this week. Mr. Wieland and Sheriff Rudnick will appear <br />before the Grand Forks County Commission tomorrow and at Richland County on June 2nd to <br />discuss the possibility of a regional jail facility. Barnes County has responded that they are not <br />interested in such a venture because they have a Class I jail which they will continue to operate. <br /> <br />As the Highway Department portfolio commissioner, Mr. Wieland reported that some county <br />highways are in poor condition due to recent heavy rainfall. Mr. Meyer said he viewed some <br />county highway conditions at the request of rural constituents. <br /> <br />Mrs. Schneider appointed the following committee to review the county's tax incentive policy and <br />bring back a recommendation to the full Commission: Frank Klein, Tax Director; Michael <br />Montplaisir, County Auditor; Bonnie Johnson, County Coordinator; John Goff, State's Attorney; <br />and Commissioner Paul Koenig. Donna Schneider will serve as alternate Commission member. <br /> <br />16. CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to receive and file <br />correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: Motion carried. <br /> <br />notice from North Dakota Association of Counties that Cass County received a <br />check in the amount of $2,765.40 for participation and implementation of a safety <br />program under the County Employer Group Workers Compensation Program; <br />North Dakota Department of Transportation bridge inspection reports (referred to <br />County Engineer). <br /> <br />17.
