Mr. <br />Steiner does not anticipate any problems with the telephone or voice mail system either. <br /> <br />Mrs. Quick inquired about State-oriented programs used by Cass County, and Mr. Steiner said <br />Social Services and Regional Child Support Enforcement would be affected by State computer <br />programs. <br /> <br />Bonnie Johnson, County Coordinator, said there is a lot of equipment with internal time clocks from <br />the buildings and grounds standpoint, and she has begun inquiring about their compatibility in the <br />year 2000. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Quick moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to appoint a committee <br /> consisting of Mike Steiner, Mike Montplaisir, Bonnie Johnson, Keith <br /> Bemdt and Kathy Hogan to review the year 2000 computer situation and <br /> report back to the Board on any actions to be taken. Motion carried. Mr. <br /> Wieland will ask Mike Steiner to chair the committee. <br /> <br />FLOOD UPDATE, Lake Agassiz Regional Council <br />Irv Rustad, Lake Agassiz Regional Development Corporation, reported on the remainder of home <br />buy-outs. He has not received a response yet on Cass County's waiver request to HUD <br />(Department of Housing and Urban Development). <br /> <br />Mr. Rustad provided a hand-out regarding the next stage of the buy-out program, sale of about <br />20 single family houses recently acquired through the buy-out process. Houses will be open for <br />inspection on December 6 and 7, 1997, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and sealed bids will be received <br />in the office of the Cass County Auditor until 11:00 AM on December 30, 1997. All salvage must <br />be removed by March 1, 1998 and "as is" structures must be removed by July 1, 1998, according <br />to the bidding instructions prepared by Mr. Rustad. <br /> <br />VOUCHERS, Ap_nroved MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to approve Voucher No. <br /> 108,991 through No. 109,604. On roll call vote, motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> <br />MEETING UPDATES; NDACO COMPUTER CLASSES, Committee reports <br />Mr. Meyer reported the Water Resource Boards are still working with flood situations from last <br />spring. Mrs. Quick said the Flood Control Master Plan Committee is meeting this Thursday at 9:00 <br />AM in the Commission Room. <br /> <br />Mrs. Quick also reported she attended a meeting of the multi-county extension service advisory <br />group in Hillsboro, and she plans to attend a meeting at the Fargo-Moorhead Metropolitan Council <br />of Governments (COG) this week. Mr. Wieland also plans to attend the COG meeting and said all <br />commissioners are invited, as well. <br /> <br />Bonnie Johnson said she received a second notice of the dates for computer classes for county <br />commissioners being sponsored by the North Dakota Association of Counties. <br /> <br /> <br />
