Commission Minutes--November 3, 1997 1736 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> NOVEMBER 3, 1997 <br /> <br />MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman Alon Wieland called the meeting to order at 4:00 PM with all members present as follows: <br />Donna Schneider, Paul Koenig, John Meyer, Roberta Quick and Alon Wieland. <br /> <br />MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Koenig moved and Mrs. Quick seconded to approve minutes of the <br /> last regular meeting held October 20, 1997, and the special meeting held <br /> October 27, 1997. Motion carried. <br /> <br />AGENDA, Order a_o_nroved MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Koenig moved and Mrs. Quick seconded to approve the order of the <br /> agenda with the following changes: 1) ratify Personnel Overview <br /> Committee action of November 3, 1997, concerning acting pay for Social <br /> Services TEEM members and for Debra Wheeler, State's Attorney's Office; <br /> and 2) move item conceming United Way campaign from consent agenda <br /> to the regular agenda. Motion carried. <br /> <br />ROAD DEPARTMENT, Staff commendation for County_ Ena_ineer. Keith Berndt <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Meyer moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to commend County <br /> Engineer, Keith Berndt, for flag presentation to the family of a deceased <br /> veteran, according to a letter from Veterans Service Officer, Jim Brent, <br /> dated October 17, 1997. A copy of the letter was provided to Mr. Berndt <br /> after being read by the Chairman. On roll call vote, motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> <br />PRAIRIE PUBLIC BROADCASTING, Letter of suD_Dort for a_rant fundin_g of special pro_iect <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Meyer moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to provide letter of <br /> support to Prairie Public Broadcasting indicating compliance with Cass <br /> County's Comprehensive Land Use Plan, which will be submitted with <br /> their grant application for television demonstration grants. On roll call <br /> vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />PERSONNEL POLICY MANUAL, Amend Section 6.30. Travel and ExDense Reimbursement <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Meyer moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to amend Personnel <br /> Policy Manual Section 6.30, Travel and Expense Reimbursement, to reflect <br /> the State rate for reimbursement; and that the County Auditor update the <br /> current rate sheets to reflect this change. On roll call vote, motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
