21. <br /> <br />22. <br /> <br />Commission Minutes--October 6, 1997 1727 <br /> <br />Bonnie Johnson, County Coordinator, reported a delay on carpet production for the Annex building <br />improvement project and District Court area in the Courthouse. <br /> <br />Ms. Johnson reported County News, published monthly by the National Association of Counties, <br />carried a story in the September issue on Cass County's IBM Imaging System of personnel records. <br /> <br />Mrs. Schneider reported HUD (Housing and Urban Development) training which she attended the <br />end of September in the Annex basement meeting room was very informative. <br /> <br />Mr. Meyer also attended a portion of the HUD training, as well as meetings of the Cass County <br />Water Resource Boards. He and Mrs. Quick participated in a tour of Devil's Lake flooding last week. <br /> <br />Michael Montplaisir, County Auditor, reported on a tree planting ceremony at the Courthouse parking <br />lot and reception in the 2nd floor rotunda held September 30, 1997, sponsored by Kids Voting North <br />Dakota. Mrs. Schneider also attended the event. <br /> <br />Mr. Montplaisir reported a Muslim group in the community is looking for a cemetery plot, and it may <br />benefit them, as well as Cass County, to utilize and maintain an abandoned cemetery near Ayr, ND. <br /> <br />Mr. Wieland reported on information from the North Dakota Association of Counties regarding eye <br />care discounts.
