10. <br /> <br />11. <br /> <br />Commission Minutes--September 22, 1997 1717 <br /> <br />SALARY REVIEW, 1998 salary adjustments discussed <br />Commissioners reviewed the salary structure at this time. Mr. Wieland suggested not making a <br />decision today without input from Mrs. Quick, however, there was a consensus to allow employees <br />to continue moving up the steps beyond mid-point (market value) on the pay scale. Mrs. Schneider <br />also favors a 3% cost of living adjustment, as recommended by county department heads. <br /> <br />Regardless of any action taken on next year's budget, Mrs. Schneider suggested having the <br />Personnel Overview Committee conduct a market review each year, instead of every three years, <br />and discuss the issue of defining markets.
