Commission Minutes--September 2, 1997 1701 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> SEPTEMBER 2, 1997 <br /> <br />MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman Alon Wieland called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as follows: <br />Donna Schneider, Paul Koenig, John Meyer, Roberta Quick and Alon Wieland. <br /> <br />MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Koenig moved and Mrs. Quick seconded that minutes of the regular <br /> meeting held August 18, 1997, be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Quick moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to approve the order of the <br /> agenda with the following changes: 1) delay appointment to City of <br /> Kindred Planning and Zoning Commission from extra-territorial area, per <br /> request of Kindred City Auditor; 2) contract approvals with Industrial <br /> Builders and Swingen Construction for township bridge repairs; and 3) <br /> Road and Sheriff Department vehicle purchases for 1998 under State bid. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> <br />LOST <br /> <br />INSTRUMENT BONDS, Receive and file for Tower City Fire; State Bank of Fargo <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to receive and file <br />Indemnity Bonds on Lost Instrument for Tower City Fire and for Meide & <br />Sons; and authorize the county treasurer and the county auditor to issue <br />duplicate checks. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />TAX DIRECTOR, Out-of-state travel approved MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Meyer moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to approve out-of-state <br /> travel for Frank Klein to attend the International Association of Assessing <br /> Officers conference September 13-18, 1997, in Toronto, Canada. On roll <br /> call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT, JAIL, JUVENILE DETENTION, Out-of-state travel a.;)_nroved <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Meyer moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to approve out-of-state <br /> travel for Captain Glenn Ellingsberg, Lieutenant Mike Argall, Deputy <br /> Duwayne Nitschke and Deputy Bruce Jorgensen to attend a Mid States <br /> Organized Crime Information Center training conference September 23-25, <br /> 1997, in Appleton, WI.
