Commission Minutes--August 25, 1997 1694 MOTION, passed Mr. Koenig moved and Mrs. Quick seconded to reduce general maintenance at the Courthouse from $35,000 to $30,000, to reduce carpet/tile from $30,000 to $5,000, and to reduce painting from $10,000 to $5,000. Motion carried. MOTION, passed Mr. Koenig moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to reduce general maintenance at the Jail from $65,000 to $30,000. Motion carried. (This item included $35,000 for boiler replacement, which may be paid from the building fund this year.) MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to reduce carpet/tile at the Annex from $50,000 to $10,000, to reduce signage from $3,000 to $1,000, to delete sidewalks line item in the amount of $3,000, to reduce painting from $5,000 to $1,000, and to reduce general maintenance from $45,000 to $38,000. Motion carried. Treasurer MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to increase Treasurer's Association dues by $100 and reduce office supplies from $14,795 to $9,795. Motion carried. Clerk of Court MOTION, passed Mrs. Quick moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to add $5,000 to revenue for marriage licenses, to add $18,250 for new hire, to add a line item of $10,000 for professional services and reduce County Commission contingency line item by $10,000. Motion carried. RECESS Chairman Wieland declared a recess until 8:00 AM Tuesday, August 26, 1997.
