Commission Minutes--June 16, 1997 1640 DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS JUNE 16, 1997 MEETING TO ORDER Chairman Alon Wieland called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as follows: Donna Schneider, Paul Koenig, John Meyer, Roberta Quick and Alon Wieland. MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed Mr. Koenig moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed Mr. Koenig moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to approve the order of the agenda with the following changes: 1) adding contract with Lightowler Johnson to the consent agenda under contract approval; and 2) moving Housing Authority appointment from the consent agenda to the regular agenda since there were two applicants for one vacancy. Motion carried. COMMISSION POLICY MANUAL, Amend Section 4.00, Advisory Boards MOTION, passed Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to amend Commission Policy Manual Section 4.00, Advisory Boards, as follows: reappointing Darwin Tabor to the City of Buffalo Planning and Zoning Commission for a five- year term to expire July 1, 2002 and reappointing Tom Fischer to the Weed Control Board for a four-year term to expire July 1, 2001. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. SOCIAL SERVICES FAIR TREATMENT APPEAL, Department head finding upheld MOTION, passed Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to uphold the actions of the Social Services Director, Kathy Hogan, in the fair treatment appeal by an employee, Cathy Meyer. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. PERMIT FOR RAFFLE, Approved for Roughrider Detachment #435 MOTION, passed Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to approve raffle permit for Roughrider Detachment #435 Marine Corps League to be held November 7, 1997, at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds, West Fargo, ND. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously.
