Social Services <br /> <br />County Engineer- <br /> <br />A12 <br />B23 <br />C41 <br />D61 <br /> <br />Clerks <br />PC Support Specialist <br />Programmer/Analyst <br />Data Processing Coordinator <br /> <br />B21 Legal Secretary <br />B22 Financial In-Take Representative <br />B23 Senior Financial In-Take Representative <br />C41 Fleet Inventory Manager <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #1997-11, Hazard Mitigation Grant Program Application <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Meyer moved and Mrs. Quick seconded to adopt the following <br /> Resolution #1997-11 as requested by Irv Rustad, Lake Agassiz Regional <br /> Council: On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION #1997-11 <br />NOTICE OF INTEREST BY CASS COUNTY IN APPLYING <br /> FOR HAZARD MITIGATION <br /> GRANT PROGRAM FUNDING <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />The State of North Dakota requires that proposed hazard mitigation projects for <br />unincorporated areas of the county be submitted to the county and that the <br />county serve as the applicant in requesting funding for the projects. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Cass County experienced the most severe flooding of record during the Spring <br /> of 1997. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Flooding affected properties not only near rivers, but also in small communities <br /> and rural areas due to significant overland flows. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Numerous proposed projects have been submitted to the county from <br /> unincorporated areas. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, <br />That the Board of County Commissioners does hereby agree to serve as the sponsor for <br />Hazard Mitigation funding for unincorporated areas of the County. <br /> <br />AND, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, <br />That the Board does hereby request a reservation of funding for the attached applications for <br />proposed Hazard Mitigation projects. <br /> <br />By order of the Board of Cass County Commissioners this 2nd day of June, 1997. <br /> <br />Mr. Rustad said his agency has notified every community in Cass County, by certified mail, of the <br />June 7th application deadline, and they have had nearly 100% return receipt. Mr. Wieland noted <br />that the county set an initial deadline of June 5th in order to submit requests to the State by June <br /> <br /> <br />
