17. <br /> <br />18. <br /> <br />Commission Minutes--March 17, 1997 1601 <br /> <br />Bonnie Johnson, County Coordinator, said Cass County is working on production of a web page <br />for the Internet. <br /> <br />Mrs. Johnson also said she will be meeting with the county maintenance staff this week regarding <br />flood preparations for the Courthouse campus area. <br /> <br />Mrs. Schneider received a call from the Director of North Dakota Job Services regarding a <br />presentation on welfare reform, tentatively set for March 24th at 3:00 PM at the Expressway Inn, <br />Fargo. She is waiting for confirmation of the meeting, and will provide the information to all <br />commissioners when received. <br /> <br />Mr. Meyer attended a meeting in Harwood for property owners concerning flood preparations. <br /> <br />Mr. Wieland reported that it does not appear Cass County's request to the North Dakota <br />Insurance Reserve Fund (NDIRF) will be approved for reimbursement of legal bills incurred <br />during the State's Attorney investigation. It was noted, however, that Cass County government <br />will be receiving a return in excess of $80,000 as a result of steps the County has taken in all <br />areas of risk management. Cass County received reimbursement of $48,000 last year for having <br />a good claims record. <br /> <br />CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed MOT/ON, passed <br /> Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to receive and file <br /> correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: Motion carried. <br /> <br />response from County Engineer, Keith Berndt, to letter dated February 20, 1997 <br />from Orville Iwen concerning road matters; <br />letter to Commission Chair and to Social Service Board Chair from Henry C.
