Commission Minutes--March 17, 1997 1597 <br /> <br />EMPLOYEE COMMENDATION, Road Department/County Maintenance for snow removal <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Schneider moved and Mrs. Quick seconded to send letters of <br /> commendation to county employees for snow removal work on county <br /> roads during this winter of record-breaking snowfall amounts, and with <br /> appreciation for keeping county parking lots and sidewalks cleared of <br /> snow. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />REGIONAL CHILD SUPPORT, Budget transfer for computer equipment <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Schneider moved and Mrs. Quick seconded to transfer $1,825 <br /> budget authority from Regional Child Support Enforcement Unit's full- <br /> time salary line item to the computer equipment line item for purchase <br /> of one Pentium PC with monitor. On roll call vote, motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> <br />PERMIT FOR RAFFLE, Minn-Kota Feline Club MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Schneider moved and Mrs. Quick seconded to approve raffle <br /> permit for Minn-Kota Feline Club to be held April 6, 1997, at the Red <br /> River Valley Fairgrounds, West Fargo, ND. On roll call vote, motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> <br />PERSONNEL OVERVIEW COMMITTEE, Ratify actions of March 7th and March 17th <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Schneider moved and Mrs. Quick seconded to adopt the <br /> recommendation of Fox Lawson & Associates to reclassify the Road <br /> Department secretary position at A13 instead of A12 based upon a <br /> change in duties. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Schneider moved and Mrs. Quick seconded to temporarily reduce <br /> the B22 secretary position in the State's Attorney's Office to B21 with <br /> the option to re-fill the B22 position from the current staff in the near <br /> future; and that at the time the B22 position is ready to be filled, <br /> internal notice would be posted and appropriate staff requisition forms <br /> completed in accordance with county hiring policies. On roll call vote, <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Schneider moved and Mrs. Quick seconded to approve the <br /> request to hire a Social Services clerk/receptionist position at a step <br /> two in the A12 pay grade ($1,342/month). On roll call vote, motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> <br />COMMISSION POLICY MANUAL, Amend Section 4.00, Advisory Boards <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Schneider moved and Mrs. Quick seconded to appoint Kevin <br /> Nawman to complete the unexpired term of Lawrence Baasch, Jr. on <br /> <br /> <br />
