Commission Minutes--January 17, 2006 3023 REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS JANUARY 17, 2006 1. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER Chairman Vern Bennett called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with four members present as follows: Scott Wagner, Vern Bennett, Ken Pawluk and Robyn Sorum. Darrell Vanyo was absent. 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Ken Pawluk led the Pledge of Allegiance. 3. MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed Mr. Wagner moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting of January 3,2006 be approved as written. Motion carried. 4. AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed Mr. Pawluk moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to approve the order of the agenda with the following changes: 1) move item g on the consent agenda to the regular agenda; and 2) add Otis Elevator Company under contract approvals. Motion carried. 5. EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT, Appointment to Food and Shelter Proaram board MOTION, passed Mr. Pawluk moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to appoint Emergency Manager Dave Rogness as Cass County's representative on the local FEMA Emergency Food and Shelter Program board. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 6. PERMIT FOR RAFFLE AND BINGO, Approved for Four Corners Wildlife Club MOTION, passed Mr. Pawluk moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to approve a raffle and bingo permit for the Four Corners Wildlife Club to be held February 4, 2006, at the Embden Senior Center in Embden, North Dakota. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 7. EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT, Budaet adiustment approved MOTION, passed Mr. Pawluk moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to amend the emergency management revenue budget (101-3701-331.55-03) and the expenditure budget (101-3701-427.74-12) in the amount of $1,601,104.11 for the 2004 and 2005 Federal Fiscal Year grants for the purchase of emergency equipment and training. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.
