Commission Minutes-November 4, 1996 1533 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> NOVEMBER 4, 1996 <br /> <br />MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman Sharon "Pepped' Toussaint called the meeting to order at 3:40 PM with all members <br />present as follows: Don Eckert, Alon Wieland, Donna Schneider, Bernie Ness and Sharon <br />"Pepper" Toussaint. <br /> <br />MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that the minutes of the <br /> previous meeting of October 21, 1996 be approved as written. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> <br />m <br /> <br />AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Eckert moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to approve the order <br /> of the agenda adding a contract revision with North Dakota Department <br /> of Transportation to the consent agenda and adding Sheriff's request <br /> regarding jail nurse position to the regular agenda. Motion carried. <br /> <br />COMMISSION POLICY MANUAL, Section 37.00, Extension Developmental Leave <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to amend <br /> Commission Policy Manual by adding Section 37.00, Cass County <br /> Extension Developmental Leave policy. On roll call Vote, motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> <br />UNITED WAY, Personnel Policy Manual exception regarding personal appearance <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> In accordance with a suggestion from county department heads, Mrs. <br /> Schneider moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to allow for an exception <br /> to the personnel policy manual with regard to personal appearance <br /> whereby county employees who have made a $6.00 monthly <br /> contribution to United Way through payroll deduction for 1997 would <br /> be allowed to wear casual attire (denim slacks, casual shirts, athletic <br /> shoes) on the first and third Fridays of each month. Employees <br /> participating in the campaign would also be required to wear a "Casual <br /> Day for United Way" button on those Fridays. On roll call vote, motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> <br />FARGO CASS COUNTY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, Growth Initiative Funds <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to amend the 1996 <br /> budget for the Job Development Levy to include $309,925 of Growth <br /> <br /> <br />
