Commission Minutes--August 5, 1996 1498 DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN a CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO RE. AD REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS AUGUST 5, 1996 MEETING TO ORDER Chairman Sharon "Pepper" Toussaint called the meeting to order at 3:50 PM with all members present as follows: Don Eckert, Alon Wieland, Donna Schneider, Bernie Ness and Sharon "Pepper" Toussaint. MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve the order of the agenda. Motion carried. = PERSONNEL OVERVIEW COMMITTEE, Actions of July 16, 1996 ratified MOTION, passed Mr. Ness moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to ratify Personnel Overview Committee action of July 15, 1996, by amending Personnel Policy Manual Section 6.01, Military Leave, and Section 7.10, Performance Review (Appraisals). On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. REGISTER OF DEEDS, Grant re~.uest/bud~_et adjustment for computer equipment MOTION, passed Mr. Ness moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to approve a grant application by the Register of Deeds to the Secretary of State's Office for computer equipment for $2,500, with $700 from local sources. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. MOTION, passed Mr. Ness moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to amend the Register of Deeds budget to include an additional $1,800 in computer equipment for 1996. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. TAX EQUALIZATION DIRECTOR, Computer equipment purchase MOTION, passed Mr. Ness moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to authorize purchase of a replacement PC for the Tax Equalization Office at a cost of approximately $1,600, with $1,000 to be paid from the Tax Equalization budget and the balance from the Data Processing budget repair and replacement line item. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously.
