On roll call vote, <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />ABATEMENT APPLICATION, Approved for Steven & Susan Richard <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Ness seconded to approve abatement g4033 <br /> for Steven & Susan Richard as recommended by Reed Township and <br /> County Director of Equalization. On roll call vote, motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> <br />STATE'S ATTORNEY BUDGET ADJUSTMENT, Grant hire for additional victim/witness <br />advocate <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Ness seconded to authorize the hiring of an <br /> additional victim/witness advocate contingent upon grant funding and <br /> that the position be eliminated when grant funds cease. On roll call <br /> vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Ness seconded to increase revenue in the <br />State's Attorney budget by $11,973.00 and expenditures by the same <br />amount for the "STOP" Violence Against Women grant to hire an <br />additional victim/witness advocate for a 6 month period. On roll call <br />vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />CONTRACT APPROVAL, Vector and Weed Control Agreements MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Ness seconded to approve the following <br /> contracts submitted by respective department head and portfolio <br /> commissioner, subject to State's Attorney approval; and authorize the <br /> chairman to sign: Cass County Vector Control Agreements with the <br /> cities of Amenia, Mapleton and Fargo; and Cass County Weed Control <br /> Agreement with City of Fargo. On roll call vote, motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> <br />JAIL AND JUVENILE CENTER HOUSING COSTS, Raised <br />Sheriff Don Rudnick said due to increasing housing costs for the Jail and Juvenile Detention <br />Center, he is requesting the housing costs per day be raised. MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Ness seconded to raise the daily prisoner <br /> housing cost from $46.00 per day to $$0.00 per day for budget year <br /> 1997. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Ness seconded to raise the daily rate for the <br /> Juvenile Center from $102.00 to $120.00 per day for the budget year <br /> 1997.
