These weights will be allowed if, in the opinion of the County Engineer, the highway can sustain the weight and frequency of trucks without causing premature failure of the pavement. Condition of the highway will be monitored and periodically tasted. The county maintains all rights granted under State statutes, and may again post the highway for more restrictive loadings at any time it is determined by the County Engineer to be appropriate. On roll call vote, the motion carried with four members voting "Aye" and Mr. Eckert opposing. GANG RESISTANCE TRAINING; COURTHOUSE REMODELING UPDATE; GARRISON DIVERSION/CLEAN WATER ACTION, Committee reports Mr. Goff invited Commissioners to attend any of the training sessions being held at the Regional Training Center sponsored by the U.S. Attorney's Office concerning gangs and gang violence. County Coordinator, Bonnie Johnson, said remodeling on third and fourth floors is proceeding on schedule and employees have been very cooperative dudng the construction process. Fourth floor should be completed this week, she said. Mrs. Schneider received information from Sherry Shadley, North Dakota Program Coordinator for Clean Water Action, which is a national, environmental organization opposing Garrison Diversion funding. CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed MOTION, passed Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to receive and file correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: North Dakota Department of Transportation notice of project approved for March, 1997 bid opening for bridge in Sections 28-29, Maple River Township. Motion carried. ADJOURNMENT MOTION, passed On motion by Mrs. Schneider and seconded by Mr. Wieland, the meeting was adjourned about 4:00 PM.
