13. <br /> <br />14. <br /> <br />15. <br /> <br />Commission Minutes--May 20, 1996 1474 <br /> <br />to a gross vehicle weight of 80,000 pounds. These weights will be <br />allowed if, in the opinion of the County Engineer, the highway can <br />sustain the weight and frequency of trucks without causing premature <br />failure of the pavement. Condition of the highway will be monitored <br />and periodically tasted. The county maintains all rights granted under <br />State statutes, and may again post the highway for more restrictive <br />loadings at any time it is determined by the County Engineer to be <br />appropriate. On roll call vote, the motion carried with four members <br />voting "Aye" and Mr. Eckert opposing. <br /> <br />GANG RESISTANCE TRAINING; COURTHOUSE REMODELING UPDATE; GARRISON <br />DIVERSION/CLEAN WATER ACTION, Committee reports <br />Mr. Goff invited Commissioners to attend any of the training sessions being held at the Regional <br />Training Center sponsored by the U.S. Attorney's Office concerning gangs and gang violence. <br /> <br />County Coordinator, Bonnie Johnson, said remodeling on third and fourth floors is proceeding <br />on schedule and employees have been very cooperative dudng the construction process. Fourth <br />floor should be completed this week, she said. <br /> <br />Mrs. Schneider received information from Sherry Shadley, North Dakota Program Coordinator for <br />Clean Water Action, which is a national, environmental organization opposing Garrison Diversion <br />funding. <br /> <br />CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to receive and file <br /> correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: North Dakota <br /> Department of Transportation notice of project approved for March, <br /> 1997 bid opening for bridge in Sections 28-29, Maple River Township. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT MOTION, passed <br /> On motion by Mrs. Schneider and seconded by Mr. Wieland, the <br /> meeting was adjourned about 4:00 PM. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />APPROVED: <br /> <br /> ael Mont/pl~isir - Auditor <br />Cass County, North Dakota <br /> <br />"~haron Toussaint, Chairman <br /> Cass County Board of Commissioners <br /> <br /> <br />
