Mrs. Toussaint said it will be the Commission's decision whether to waive their right to <br />comment or wait for a legal opinion from the State's Attorney. <br /> <br />JeffVolk, Moore Engineering Company, was present and said he has been aware of the "Shea <br />Site" since the 1970's. Mr. Wieland noted that this location is near the proposed Maple River dam <br />site. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to delay this request <br /> until the Commission receives information from the State's Attorney. <br /> On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />WORK PLAN REPORTS <br />Commissioners updated fellow board members on progress in each of their portfolio departments. <br />Work plan reports were completed by all departments except the Clerk of Court, and Mr. Eckert <br />spoke with Dorothy Howard about providing a copy to the Commission when it is completed. This <br />department recently completed their office relocation within the courthouse, from the fourth floor <br />to second floor. <br /> <br />ANIMAL DAMAGE CONTROL; WATER RESOURCE STUDY ONGOING; WEED CONTROL <br />BOARD MEETING; CHILD SUPPORT ENFORCEMENT, Committee reports <br />Mr. Eckert referred to a memorandum from County Coordinator Bonnie Johnson dated April 12, <br />1996, concerning animal damage control, specifically beavers. He will discuss this matter further <br />with the County Engineer. <br /> <br />Mr. Wieland said the water resource district study is proceeding. <br /> <br />Mrs. Toussaint said the Cass County Weed Control Board is meeting at 8:30 AM on Friday, April <br />19, 1996, at the Road Department conference room. <br /> <br />Mrs. Toussaint also reported that she attended a meeting in Bismarck last Friday concerning the <br />child support enforcement program. <br /> <br />CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to receive and file <br /> correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: Motion carried. <br /> <br />letter from Department of the Air Force concerning existing road conditions of transporter-erector <br />routes (referred to County Engineer); <br /> <br />annual inspection report from State Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation indicating the <br />county facility was found to be in compliance with North Dakota Law and Jail Rules; <br /> <br />City of Fargo customs activity report for last quarter; <br /> <br /> <br />
