On roll call vote, motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> <br />FISH AND WILDLIFE SERVICE LAND ACQUISITION, Hearing at Tower City re-scheduled <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Due to hazardous winter driving conditions on March 25, 1996, Mr. Ness <br /> moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to re-schedule Board of County <br /> Commissioners hearing for April 11, 1996, at 10:00 AM in the <br /> Community Center, Tower City, ND concerning U.S. Fish and Wildlife <br /> Service proposed land acquisition in Tower Township. On roll call <br /> vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />PERMIT FOR RAFFLE, Farm Bureau Young Farmers & Ranchers MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve raffle permit for <br /> North Dakota Farm Bureau Young Farmers & Ranchers to be held at the <br /> Thompson Farm, 14159 20th Street SE, Page, ND on December 3, 1996. <br /> On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />ROAD DEPARTMENT, Purchase order for two gravel trucks MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to authorize purchase order <br /> to Nelson International for two gravel trucks for the Road Department <br /> in the amount of $66,428.48 each, for a total of $130,856.96. On roll call <br /> vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />CONTRACT APPROVAL, Sellin Brothers; Anderson Western, Inc. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve the following <br /> contracts submitted by respective department head and portfolio <br /> commissioner, subject to State's Attorney approval; and authorize the <br /> chairman to sign: 1) Sellin Brothers--grading and recycle County #17; <br /> and 2) Anderson Western, Inc.--bituminous overlay County #38. On roll <br /> call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />MIDA BOND FINANCING, Fara_o-Moorhead Family YMCA <br />Commissioners received a large number of letters and telephone calls from Cass County citizens <br />concerning the request of the Fargo-Moorhead Family YMCA for MIDA Bond financing. Some <br />of those citizens favored the request and some were opposed. <br /> <br />Representing the YMCA and addressing the Board of County Commissioners in favor of the <br />request for MIDA Bond financing were Paul Finstad, Executive Director of the YMCA; James H. <br />Stewart, Bond Counsel; Ken Pawluk, YMCA board member; Andretta Erickson, student at Fargo <br /> <br /> <br />
