Commission Minutes--March 18, 1996 1449 FARGO-CASS COUNTY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, Growth Initiative Fund Frank Kadlec, Chairman of the Fargo-Cass County Economic Development Corporation, was present to answer questions on their request to use 1996 Growth Initiative Funds for the local match for PACE loans. Mr. Ness said there is no need to modify the contract, only to note the change in procedure. MOTION, passed Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve use of Growth Initiative Fund (GIF) funds for 1996 for the purpose of participating in local match for PACE loans. No GIF funds will be used for grants. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. COMMISSIONERS JOINT MEETING; FISH AND WILDLIFE PROPOSED LAND ACQUISITION; DEVILS LAKE STUDY, Committee reports County Coordinator Bonnie Johnson reminded commissioners of the noon luncheon meeting with Fargo and West Fargo City Commissioners on March 21, 1996, at Season's at Rose Creek, hosted by Cass County Commissioners. Mr. Eckert asked if all commissioners will attend the public hearing in Tower City at 8:00 AM on March 25, 1996, concerning the proposed acquisition of property by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. All commissioners plan to attend, except Mr. Wieland, although he may arrive later. Mr. Wieland informed commissioners of a meeting to be held at 7:00 PM, April 4, 1996, in the lower level of the Cass County Government Annex with representatives of the Devils Lake Emergency Management Committee regarding their ongoing flood study. ADJOURNMENT MOTION, passed On motion by Mr. Wieland and seconded by Mr. Ness, the meeting was adjourned about 4:30 PM.
