Commission Minutes--February 5, 1996 1435 <br /> <br />Mr. Wieland asked the chairman to reconsider appointing a study committee in order to draft a <br />plan concerning water resource districts and the possibility of modifying board membership in the <br />event the county may want to have the issue addressed in the next legislative session. Mrs. <br />Toussaint was agreeable to this request. <br /> <br />County Auditor Michael Montplaisir commented on the amount of time required for the February <br />27, 1996, Presidential Primary by staff from his office, the County Treasurer's Office. and <br />temporary hires. <br /> <br />County Coordinator Bonnie Johnson reported that remodeling is proceeding on second floor of <br />the Courthouse. Mrs. Toussaint said a meeting was held earlier today with the affected <br />departments to help coordinate the move on all three floors. <br /> <br />Mrs. Toussaint reminded commissioners that the joint meeting with Fargo and West Fargo City <br />Commissioners has been rescheduled for March 21, 1996, due to the blizzard on January 18th. <br /> <br />20. <br /> <br />CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to receive and file <br /> correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: Motion carried. <br /> <br />summary of United States Fish and Wildlife Service management activities on wetland areas; <br /> <br />notice of claim for injury against Cass County and State of North Dakota filed by Scott and Mamie <br />Anderson (referred to State's Attorney); <br /> <br />response from State's Attorney John Goff to Chairman Toussaint regarding 1995 statistics of <br />welfare fraud prosecutions; <br /> <br />North Dakota Department of Transportation survey of secondary roads performance, and <br />information regarding awards for excellence in transportation design and construction; <br /> <br />memorandum from County Engineer Keith Berndt regarding cancellation of Maple River Township <br />Sections 28-29 bridge replacement project due to withdrawal of state financial support. <br /> <br />21. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT MOTION, passed <br /> On motion by Mrs. Schneider and seconded by Mr. Wieland, the <br /> meeting was adjourned about 4:30 PM. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />APPROVED: <br /> <br />/ <br /> <br /> /l~ic~ael Montl~laisir ' Auditor <br /> Cass County, North Dakota <br /> <br />~Sharon Toussaint, Chairman <br /> Cass County Board of Commissioners <br /> <br /> <br />
