Minutes--February 21, 1995 1300 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ. <br /> <br /> REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> FEBRUARY 21, 1995 <br />MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman Bernie Ness called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all <br />members present as follows: Don Eckert, Sharon "Pepper" Toussaint, <br />Alon Wieland, Donna Schneider and Bernie Ness. <br /> <br />MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that the <br /> minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> <br />AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to approve <br /> the order of the agenda with the following additions to the <br /> consent agenda: out-of-state travel for Sheriff Department <br /> and contracts for detention of juveniles and for indigent <br /> defense; and adding to the regular agenda, a request for <br /> removal of condemned bridge. Motion carried. <br /> <br />SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT, Out-of-state travel approved MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve <br /> out-of-state travel for Walt Willis to attend an <br /> informational tour in Madison, Wisconsin, regarding <br /> alternative sentencing on February 15-17, 1995. On roll <br /> call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. wieland seconded to approve <br />out-of-state travel for Frank Froysland and Peter Wold to <br />attend the American Jail Association Training Conference in <br />Charlotte, NC on April 30-May 4, 1995. On roll call vote, <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />STATE'S ATTORNEY, Out-of-state travel approved MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve <br /> out-of-state travel for Cass County Victim Witness <br /> Coordinator Julie Hough to attend the 11thAnnual Symposium <br /> on Child Sexual Abuse in Huntsville, Alabama, on February <br /> 28-March 4, 1995. On roll call vote, motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> <br />REED TOWNSHIP QUIT CLAIM DEED, Chairman and auditor to sign <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to authorize <br /> the chairman and the auditor to sign a quit claim deed to <br /> BJR Properties for land in Section 14 of Reed Township, <br /> subject to Attorney Dan Twichell and Engineer Mark <br /> Bittner's approval of the property description· On roll <br /> call vote, motion carried unanimously· <br /> <br /> <br />
