On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. ROAD DEPARTMENT BIDS, Normanna Township bridge replacement Mr. Berndt reported on a bid opening last Friday in Bismarck for a bridge replacement project between Sections 23-26, Normanna Township. In a memorandum dated today, he recommended that the county withhold award of the project to the low bidder, Dakota Bridge Builders, pending resolution of the Horace bridge contract termination with said contractor. MOTION, Bassed Mrs. Toussaint moved and MrS. Schneider seconded to authorize county engineer to send letter to Dakota Bridge Builders informing the firm that award of contract BRO 9(16) is being delayed at this time pending resolution of the Horace bridge termination settlement; and requesting that the firm extend its bid acceptance period from 30 to 90 days from date of bid opening. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. VOUCHERS, ApProved MOTION, ~assed Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded that Vouchers No. 71,309 through No. 72,383 be approved and ordered paid. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. COMMISSIONERS WORKSHOP; COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION MEMBERSHIP, Committee reports Mrs. Schneider will be attending the North Dakota Association of Counties new commissioners workshop in Bismarck on February 22-23, 1995. Several Cass County officials will be speakers at the training session, including Commissioner Wieland, Keith Berndt and Kathy Hogan. Mr. Ness informed commissioners that the Cass County Planning Commission is reviewing its membership to allow for more rural representation. Mr. Berndt will provide a memorandum outlining the recommended membership as of this date. If commissioners have any additional suggestions on membership, Mr. Ness said those should be submitted to the Planning Commission before their next meeting. CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed MOTION, ~assed Mr. Eckert moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to receive and file correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: Motion carried. Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting, and letter from State Auditor's Office congratulating Cass County Auditor Michael Montplaisir on this achievement; report of the North Dakota Juvenile Justice Task Force; notification from State Historical Society of action taken October 28, 1994, approving Cass County Government's plan to remodel Courthouse front entrance;
