APPRAISAL OF TAX-FORFEITED PROPERTY, Hearing date set for November 7th County Auditor Michael Montplaisir provided a list of property forfeited for non-payment of taxes, as well as a letter dated October 10, 1994, outlining the process to be followed for the land sale. MOTION, passed Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to set the value of ~1,000 on Auditor's Lot 9 in S~ Section 5-139-49. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. MOTION, passed Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to set the value of $2,000 on Auditor's Lot 7 in S~ Section 5-139-49, less Auditor's Lots 16-21 and less Auditor's Lots 23-25, On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. MOTION, passed Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to set the value of the tax forfeiture properties as outlined in the list provided by the County Auditor's Office. Dn roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. EMERGENCY 911, Revenue clarification At the Cass County Commission meeting on September 6, 1994, the Board voted to allow county residents to consider a fifty cent per month per line increase in 911 services on the November 8th election ballot. Currently, the fifty cent fee generates about $40,000 which pays for line costs, equipment, equipment maintenance and signs. The current fee does not cover sign maintenance, mapping or personnel. Mr. Eckert asked that the Board clarify and address the concerns of the rural voters that the money will not be used for other purposes. MOTION, passed Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Ness seconded that all 911 revenue generated by the collection of a one dollar per month per line telephone charge shall be, according to statute, dedicated for 911 services only. These services shall include line costs, equipment, equipment maintenance, signs, sign maintenance, maDDing and personnel. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. COMMISSIONERS/DEPARTMENT HEAD MEETING; COMMISSIONERS/NDACo CONVENTION REPORT, Committee reports County Coordinator Bonnie Johnson reported that county department heads elected Dorothy Howard, Clerk of District Court, as group chair. A joint meeting between commissioners and department heads has been scheduled for 11:30-1:30 PM on November 21, 1994, at Jigg's Restaurant in West Fargo.
