Comm. Minutes--October 17, 1994 1260 DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ. REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OCTOBER 17, 1994 MEETING TO ORDER Chairman Steve Risher called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as follows: Don Eckert, Alon Wieland, Bernie M. Ness Sharon "Pepper" Toussaint and Steve Risher. MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed Mr. Eckert moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to approve minutes of the previous meeting. Motion carried. AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve the order of the agenda adding Social Services out-of-state travel, contract with North Dakota Department of Transportation for Interstate 94/County Road 17 interchange area bikeway, and purchase order for used culverts to the consent agenda; and adding 911 revenue clarification to the regular agenda. Motion carried unanimously. SHERIFF DEPARTMENT EMPLOYEE, Staff commendation to Mike Argall MOTION, passed Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Wieland seconded that the Chairman sign a letter of commendation to Lt. Mike Argall for teaching the defensive driving program to county employees. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. ROAD DEPARTMENT, Out-of-state travel approved MOTION, passed Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. wieland seconded to approve out-of-state travel for Highway Superintendent Steve Grindberg to attend Federal Highway Administration County Road Advisor's Workshop in Rapid City, SD October 26 and 27, 1994. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. ROAD DEPARTMENT, Bridge replacement in Erie Township MOTION, passed Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to authorize County Engineer Keith Berndt to replace bridge between Sections 27 and 34, Erie Township, with a used multi-plate. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously· SOCIAL SERVICES, Out-of-state travel approved MOTION, passed Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve out-of-state travel for Social Services Director Kathy Hogan to attend a "Sharing Leadership" conference in Washington, D.C. November 8-10, 1994. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously.
