They do not want <br />the service to be cost~prohibitive to local realty firms. MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to approve the <br /> Public Information Inquiry Agreement for Remote Access to <br /> County Computer System with the fee structure as outlined <br /> in Exhibit A, presented by Mr. Steiner under memorandum <br /> dated August 4, 1994. On roll call vote, motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> <br />DATA PROCESSING, Register of Deeds land records software <br />Mr. Steiner said four or five medium-sized counties in the state have <br />expressed an interest in the land records software developed by his <br />department, which the Cass County Register of Deeds Office is using. <br />He recommends selling the software to other counties with Cass County <br />providing the support and maintenance. He does not anticipate adding <br />staff to provide the support. MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to approve <br /> option #1 as outlined in a memo from Mr. Steiner dated <br /> August 4, 1994; option #1 being to allow any county to <br /> purchase the Land Records software, with Cass County <br /> continuing to provide support and maintenance. On roll <br /> call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />DATA PROCESSING, West Fargo Police Department request to access AS/400 <br />Mr. Steiner outlined three options in a memo dated August 4, 1994, in <br />response to the West Fargo Police Department's request to access Cass <br />County Government's AS/400 computer system. He suggested a four-month <br />trial period, which would give each entity time to work out details. <br />Total costs for Cass County during this trial period will be staff <br />time, he said. <br /> <br />David Bruckner, Acting West Fargo Chief of Police, was also present <br />and said he believes a four-month trial period will help determine if <br />this will work for both parties. MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to allow the West <br /> Fargo Police Department to run their police department <br /> software on Cass County Government IBM AS/400 for a trial <br /> period not to exceed four months, with West Fargo being <br /> responsible for all installation and monthly changes. On <br /> roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
