Jim Diebert, F-M Area Association of Realtors, and Barb Grande were present and stated they have reviewed the agreement. They do not want the service to be cost~prohibitive to local realty firms. MOTION, passed Mr. Ness moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to approve the Public Information Inquiry Agreement for Remote Access to County Computer System with the fee structure as outlined in Exhibit A, presented by Mr. Steiner under memorandum dated August 4, 1994. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. DATA PROCESSING, Register of Deeds land records software Mr. Steiner said four or five medium-sized counties in the state have expressed an interest in the land records software developed by his department, which the Cass County Register of Deeds Office is using. He recommends selling the software to other counties with Cass County providing the support and maintenance. He does not anticipate adding staff to provide the support. MOTION, passed Mr. Ness moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to approve option #1 as outlined in a memo from Mr. Steiner dated August 4, 1994; option #1 being to allow any county to purchase the Land Records software, with Cass County continuing to provide support and maintenance. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. DATA PROCESSING, West Fargo Police Department request to access AS/400 Mr. Steiner outlined three options in a memo dated August 4, 1994, in response to the West Fargo Police Department's request to access Cass County Government's AS/400 computer system. He suggested a four-month trial period, which would give each entity time to work out details. Total costs for Cass County during this trial period will be staff time, he said. David Bruckner, Acting West Fargo Chief of Police, was also present and said he believes a four-month trial period will help determine if this will work for both parties. MOTION, passed Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to allow the West Fargo Police Department to run their police department software on Cass County Government IBM AS/400 for a trial period not to exceed four months, with West Fargo being responsible for all installation and monthly changes. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously.
