Minutes--April 18, 1994 1199 <br /> <br />11. <br /> <br />12. <br /> <br />13. <br /> <br />(e) <br /> <br />Adopt a budget of $500 for the charter commission for <br />miscellaneous costs which may be incurred in the course of <br />their work. <br /> <br />Discussion: Mr. Risher said the intent is to begin the process <br />to review home rule and appoint a charter commission at the next <br />meeting. Jeannette Stanton, Fargo, was present and asked <br />questions about the process. At the call for the question and <br />on roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />WORK PLAN REPORT <br />Mr. Risher asked all Commissioners to turn in their work plan reports <br />from respective portfolio departments to the County Coordinator. <br /> <br />VOUCHERS FROM LAST MEETING, Committee report <br />On behalf of Mrs. Toussaint, Bonnie Johnson said she recommends paying <br />the voucher for County Court probation officer travel because she <br />received a satisfactory response to her questions. MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to pay voucher <br /> #59903, which was held in question at the last meeting. On <br /> roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to receive and <br /> file correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: <br /> Motion carried. <br /> <br />petitions from Harwood Elementary School Parent-Teacher- <br />Organization encouraging continuation of the D.A.R.E. program; <br /> <br />Sykeston Canal Alternatives Study Report from U.D. Department of <br />the Interior; <br /> <br />annual survey of transporter-erector routes from Department of <br />the Air Force; <br /> <br />City of Fargo Customs Activity report for 1st quarter, 1994; <br /> <br />letter from Barnes County State's Attorney requesting that <br />County Road No. 6 not be used as a temporary construction haul <br />road for loaded trucks; <br /> <br />United Blood Services letter of thanks to County employees for <br />participating in a recent blood drive; <br /> <br />letter addressed to Cass County Board of Equalization from Wylie <br />Briggs, President of Crane Johnson Company, Inc. protesting <br />assessment of property located in Stockyards Corner 2nd Addition <br />(referred to County Tax Equalization Director and West Fargo <br />City Assessor); <br /> <br />two letters from North Dakota Department of <br />regarding posting bridge weight limits and <br />structures requiring attention; <br /> <br />Transportation <br />alert priority <br /> <br /> <br />
