On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />ROAD DEPARTMENT, Purchase order for gravel conveyor scale <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to authorize <br /> the chairman to sign Cass County government purchase order <br /> for purchase of a gravel conveyor scale for the Road <br /> Department from General Equipment Company in the amount of <br /> ~5,850.00. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />PUBLIC ADMINISTRATOR, Payment to Marilyn Hawkinson MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve <br /> payment to Marilyn Hawkinson for January and February, <br /> 1994, for public administrator services. On roll call <br /> vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />REGIONAL CHILD SUPPORT ENFORCEMENT UNIT, Request referred to Space and <br />Planning Committee <br />Kathleen Ziegelmann, Regional Child Support Enforcement Director, <br />asked Chairman Risher to add her request to the agenda today for <br />authorization to purchase unbudgeted computer equipment to accommodate <br />the child support computer conversion project and authorization to use <br />two commission work stations in the Personnel Department to house this <br />computer equipment. <br /> <br />Mrs. Ziegelmann said her 1994 budget anticipated the need for two <br />personal computers, and used equipment was available at the time, <br />however, that equipment has since been allocated to other county <br />offices. Her 1994 budget for computer equipment is $2,000 and this <br />project will require an expenditure of about $5,000. She has about <br />$5,000 in the office equipment line item of her 1994 budget which she <br />does not expect to spend this year so that line item can be used for <br />the purchase of this additional computer equipment, she said. <br /> <br />Also, because of space problems in the department, Mrs. Ziegelmann is <br />requesting permission to utilize other courthouse space that may be <br />available for the project, which is expected to take two full-time <br />people four days per week from March 14, 1994, through March 1, 1995, <br />to complete. <br /> <br />Mr. Risher and Mr. Wieland each offered the use of their work station <br />in the Personnel Department, however, Mr. Ness suggested that this <br />matter be referred to the County Space and Planning Committee. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to authorize the <br /> Regional Child Support Enforcement Unit to purchase <br /> additional unbudgeted computer equipment in the approximate <br /> amount of $5,000.00 to accommodate the child support <br /> computer conversion project, with authorization of the work <br /> space to be allocated by the Space and Planning Committee. <br /> On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. Mr. Risher <br /> asked County Coordinator Bonnie Johnson to call a meeting <br /> of this committee. <br /> <br /> <br />
