Minutes--November 15, 1993 1131 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ. <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> NOVEMBER 15, 1993 <br /> <br />MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman Sharon "Pepper" Toussaint called the meeting to order at 3:30 <br />PM with four members present as follows: Don Eckert, Steve Risher, <br />Alon Wieland and Sharon Toussaint. Bernie M. Ness was absent. <br /> <br />MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mr. Wieland seconded that the minutes <br /> of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> <br />AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Risher seconded to approve the <br /> order of the agenda adding the following items to the <br /> consent agenda: 1) travel request for States Attorney's <br /> Office, 2) Indemnity Bond on Lost Instrument; 3) contract <br /> termination with S.R. F., Inc.; 4) consultant services to <br /> enhance collections in the areas of child support and <br /> welfare fraud; and add Space & Planning Committee <br /> recommendation on the Juvenile Justice Center to item #3 on <br /> the regular agenda. Motion carried. <br /> <br />"SEVERE WINTER WEATHER AWARENESS DAY", Chairman to sign proclamation <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to authorize the <br /> Chairman to sign the proclamation declaring November 18, <br /> 1993, as "Severe Winter Weather Awareness Day". On roll <br /> call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />JAIL, Out-of-state travel approved MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve out-of- <br /> state travel for Jail Captain Walt Willis to attend workshop on <br /> Jail and Prisoner Legal Issues to be held in Las Vegas, Nevada, <br /> January 24-26, 1993· On roll call vote, motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> <br />SOCIAL SERVICES BOARD ACTION RATIFIED, Sponsorship fund distribution <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve <br /> distribution of sponsorship funds for 1994 as recommended <br /> by the Cass County Social Service Board on November 1, <br /> 1993. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />PERSONNEL OVERVIEW COMMITTEE ACTIONS RATIFIED, Personnel Policy <br />Sections 4,00, 6.00 and 6.30 amended MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to ratify Personnel <br /> Overview Committee Actions of November 1, 1993, to amend <br /> Personnel Policy Manual Sections 4.00, 6.00 and 6.30 as posted· <br /> On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
