Minutes--September 7, 1993 1092 <br /> <br />15. <br /> <br />16. <br /> <br />17. <br /> <br />18. <br /> <br />PERMIT FOR SUNDAY ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE SALES, Approved for Knickerbocker <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Risher seconded to approve permit <br /> for Sunday alcoholic beverage sales at the Knickerbocker <br /> Liquor Locker, Hickson, ND, beginning September 12, 1993, <br /> through December 31, 1993, for an additional license fee of <br /> $5.00 for each Sunday that the licensee sells alcoholic <br /> beverages, in accordance with Senate Bill 2265. On roll <br /> call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF CONDOLENCES, To Herschel Lashkowitz family <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Risher seconded to adopt the <br /> following resolution of condolences to the family of the <br /> late Herschel Lashkowitz. On roll call vote, motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of Cass County Commissioners has learned of <br />the death of Herschel Lashkowitz of Fargo, North Dakota; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Herschel Lashkowitz served the citizens of Fargo in the <br />capacity of Mayor, and he served the entire citizenry of Cass County <br />as a State Legislator for a number of years. <br /> <br /> THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the Board of Commissioners of <br />Cass County, North Dakota, does hereby express its heartfelt <br />condolences to the family of the late Herschel Lashkowitz. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this resolution be inscribed upon <br />the permanent records of the proceedings of the Board of Cass County <br />Commissioners and a copy forwarded to his family. <br /> <br />Dated at Fargo, North Dakota, this 7th day of September, 1993. <br /> <br />1993 METROPOLITAN HIGHWAY PLAN, ApProved <br />County Road Engineer Keith Berndt introduced Steve Grabill, Fargo- <br />Moorhead Metropolitan Council of Governments, who was present to <br />answer questions on the 1993 Metropolitan Highway Plan. Mr. Grabill <br />said the plan is flexible and it is anticipated that it will be <br />updated in about five years, as required by Federal law. <br /> <br />Mr. Eckert expressed a concern about improving a road designated as <br />an exterior boundary rather than following an existing county road. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Risher seconded to endorse 1993 <br /> Metropolitan Highway Plan (final draft).
