Ness seconded to request funding <br />from the Joint Dispatch Council based on the formula of <br />Fargo 38~%, West Fargo 4~% and Cass County 57%, to cover <br />the cost of $29,165 to hire a consultant; and that each <br />entity be repaid through recoupment of 911 fees. On roll <br />call vote, motion carried with four members voting "Aye", <br />Hr. Wieland opposing. <br />Discussion: Mr. Wieland will set up a Joint Dispatch <br />Council meeting and will present this request to the <br />members. <br /> <br />VOUCHERS, Approved <br />Mr. Eckert reviewed the bills this month and had several questions <br />which were answered by the Auditor's Office. MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Ness seconded to approve <br /> Vouchers No. 51554 through No. 52433. On roll call vote, <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />HOLMENS 2ND & 3RD SUBDIVISIONS CRACK SEALING PROJECT, VEHICLE <br />POLICY, Committee reports <br />Mr. Montplaisir reported there is a funding request from Holmens <br />2nd and 3rd Subdivisions for crack sealing on streets put in by <br />special assessment districts. He said there will be sufficient <br />funds to completely retire the debt for this district. The <br />estimated cost for this project is $2,600.00. Before the <br />subdivisions begin, they would need assurance from the county that <br />the project would be paid out of the sinking fund. He recommends <br />the Commission authorize the subdivision proceed with the crack <br />sealing project. Commission action will need to be taken when <br />bills for this project need to be paid. <br /> <br />Mrs. Toussaint reported that the Vehicle Policy Committee met today <br />and continue to make progress on development of a Vehicle Policy <br />for Cass County. <br /> <br />CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to receive and <br /> file correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: <br /> Motion carried. <br /> <br />letters from Senator Byron Dorgan and Senator Kent Conrad <br />regarding deficit reduction and elimination of the proposed <br />BTU tax; <br /> <br />item from suggestion box criticizing decision not to allow <br />employees who missed work on Friday, July 16th, to use storm <br />leave because of flooding (concurrence by department heads not <br />to use storm leave because it would cause inequities for <br />employees who worked); <br /> <br />memo from North Dakota Association of Counties regarding new <br />county delegates, information on the 1993 North Dakota County <br />Commissioners Association Convention October 3-6, 1993, in <br />Minor and excellence awards; <br /> <br />Water Resource Districts financial statements for the first <br />six months of 1993; <br /> <br /> <br />
